The GPS Marine brand has roots dating to 1964 and from simple beginnings in small scale ship repair GPS Marine has developed into a diverse operation that provides services to cover most aspects of marine contracting.

The commercial activities of GPS Marine cover towage, salvage, heavylift, marine engineering and demolition, water borne transport of goods and equipment and dredging. The organization operates a fleet that in June ’07 totaled 62 vessels that were, at that time in operation throughout Europe and the UK. The GPS Marine fleet is designed to provide integrated contract solutions but is also available for spot and term charter.

The GPS fleet comprises inland and seagoing tugs, sheerlegs, crane barges, flat top barges, dry well split and bottom door hoppers, dry cargo barges and dredging equipment. On land GPS Marine can supply crawler cranes and excavators.
